Funding
Major funding for "Soundmix: Five Young Musicians" is provided by the Corporation For Public Broadcasting (CPB). "Soundmix" is part of CPB's "I, too, Am America" Diversity initiative launched in 2001 to encourage the production of projects that reflect America's contemporary multicultural society.
Additional funding is provided by The Music For Youth Foundation. The Music for Youth Foundation (MYF) is a non-profit initiative with two primary missions: To identify, fund and lend our experience to innovative programs that make quality music education available to young people, AND to create scholarship opportunities for exceptionally talented youth who choose to make music their life's work, thereby helping to sustain the next generation of artists and teachers.
Additional funding is provided by Native American Public Telecommunications. The mission of NAPT is to support the creation, promotion, and distribution of Native public media. Additional services of NAPT include American Indian Radio on Satellite, distributor of Indian radio programming on the web and to public and tribal radio stations, and VisionMaker Video.
Additional outreach funding is provided by Latino Public Broadcasting.
